Hi everyone 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with lobular cancer of right breast HR+, HER-(not 100% sure of the jargon) out of the blue after feeling a lump for some months. It's 4.5 cm and was invisible on all the mammograms even last week ️. But has spread to my lymph nodes but not any further as yet. Am having mastectomy later this month and reconstruction using DIEP flap. Apart from the cancer I am completely fit and on no medication despite being nearly 69. The consultant said many of his patients were completely fit women apart from the cancer. How unreal it all feels!
Hi Mudpie7
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with breast cancer. What you are feeling is perfectly understandable. I know I have moments of is this really happening to me.
Wishing you the best of luck with whatever treatment your medical team puts you on.
Best wishes
