  • It's a shock going through all this so quickly. It took me ages to come to terms with it. Nearly 1 yr on for me and dealing with the side effects of hormone blockers is another layer of adjustment. Go slowly allow some gentle healing in the body and the heart and mind will catch up.

Im still here and will do what I need to do to keep going. Lots of support and helpful suggestions in here. It's hard feeling so vulnerable, the services are there to help you. Walking was suggested as a positive thing, energy permitting. It's good for us, me you or I whichever to have a daily routine. Helps when in the chaos and shock of a cancer diagnosis. Hope you feel more grounded soon.

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  It's perfectly understandable that you are finding it hard to process particularly as you had a clear mammogram in January,  Do you know what further treatment you are having yet?  The waiting on results and a treatment plan is hard.  If you feel you need extra support don't hesitate to ring the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 00 00 to speak to someone about how you are feeling.  Also if there is a Maggie's Centre near you or another cancer centre why not  call in or phone them to speak to someone.

Wishing you the best of luck with whatever comes next for you.

    Best wishes
