Hi new to the group, diagnosed beginning of October had my surgery on 23/10, waiting now to find out if I need chemo or radiotherapy, tbh i am feeling that it would be worse to loose my hair than having the cancer itself, which is stupid I know Rofl

  • Not stupid at all x

There is so much to take on board and adjust to.
People on this forum will have lots of advice about minimising and managing hair loss if that will affect you.

  • yeah not stupid cause todayijust wishi had some effn hair, was trying to help my mom wearing a wig and it gets in my eyes, i cant tuck it cause wigs are dumb Sweat smile

but i think the reaction is normal, society is so focused on looks and hair is a big visual. hugs

  • Not stupid at all! I'm quite a practical kind of girl and have never been one for spending much time on my hair...I'm a "pop it in a pony tail" and off you go kind of lass....and yet it does feel that I am spending more time worrying about losing my hair than the cancer as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

  • I have been researching all kinds of alternatives and haven't even been told I definitely need chemo yet, at least I will be prepared if I do Rofl
