Hi Pez2
i had a double mastectomy with reconstruction on 1st September, unfortunately I had poor healing on the right breast, a section of it just wouldn’t heal. This resulted in an infection, I ended up in hospital on intravenous antibiotics, they drained the infection and took the implant out, then fitted a new implant. I was discharged with oral antibiotics also. I’m now on the road to recovery but it takes time, wound is healing nicely. Are you able to contact your breast nurse to get it checked?
wishing you all the best with your recovery x
I was told it would take longer because I had to have chemo before my mastectomy. I do find it difficult sometimes… my head is ready to go at a million miles an hour but my body is going at snails pace at the moment
Stay positive and get plenty of rest, you’ll get there ️ x
