Hi Caroltw
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that your mum has been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. The break in her treatment shouldn't stop the treatment from working but I'm of course I'm not an expert. There is a forum for people and their families with secondary breast cancer which you can also join to ask your question. Here's the link to the forum: Secondary breast cancer forum .
Wishing you and your mother the best of luck with whatever comes next.
Best wishes

Sorry to hear your mum is having to go through this. I hear lots of people have a break in treatment for many different reasons, it seems common enough, for example, for the blood count to drop and people miss a week. My experience is that they know what they’re doing so try not to worry. Abbé just follow it up if you dint hear anything for a few days, take care of yourself. It’s not easy for our loved ones who are supporting us. X
