Hi not posted for a long time finished treatment for triple negative...chemo .radiotherapy. lumpectomy all finished april 22 ....my breast has always been tender after lumpectomy but today I woke up with a black bruise burst veins all over the breast. I dont think I have knocked myself ..I have my mammogram next week .....obviously I Googled and saw ibc cancer silly me now worried
Hi Sister4 welcome to the forum. Google is a good tool but is very non specific and specific is what you need right now if that makes sense? It sounds like there could have been a seroma under the skin and it is possible that this has burst giving the appearance of black bruised veins. Knocking ourselves is not always something we are aware o. f I frequently end up with huge bruises on my legs and wonder how they got there. The only thing that is going to give you that re-assurance is either to contact the breast nurse directly or to get an appointment with the GP and let them have a look for you.
Whatever you decide to do please STAY OFF GOOGLE it ends up scaring us more than we need to be .

Thank you I hope so dont want to back there again ..plus I booked myself and son a big hoilday next year not going to miss it .....back to negative thoughts
