Hi, I’m a secondary school teacher. I had a mammoplasty this June following discovery of an invasive cancer on my right breast. I finished radiation a couple of weeks ago. I’m hoping to share experiences and tips to help me feel reassured and positive about the future.
Hi Caoimhe101 and welcome to the forum, sorry you find yourself here but I’ve found it a great place for support and shared experiences. In fact I’m still rattling round here nearly 5 years post diagnosis! Glad you’ve got past surgery and radiotherapy. I’m sure there will be others popping in soon with more recent experiences, it’s a great mix here. I dip into various threads but mainly post on the Walking back to happiness thread in the General Discussion section, as walking became (and remains) my sanity saver! Love and hugs, HFxx
And just to add, I’ve found this article really useful over the years, particularly at times when I’ve felt somewhat overwhelmed despite having finished my ‘active’ treatment (I’m still on Anastrozole). Xx
