Hello everyone,
I’m so upset to experience:
1) 51 days wait for thyroid biopsy (not including histology and MDT time). The biopsy failed to get enough cells - so no diagnosis. Moving to surgery for fear it’s malignant. Surgery wait time 7 weeks
2) 42 days wait for breast biopsy (not including histology and MDT time). Biopsy appointment this thursday, appointment sent by text today. No one currently to drive me the 21 miles one way to hospital (biopsy type needs driver).
wondering if there are others whose care isn’t meeting the new 28 day faster diagnosis target?
Scared, angry, sad
I'm so sorry to hear that you have to wait that long - it must be really very frustrating on top of all that is happening to you but please stay strong! Your hospital should have a way to make arrangements for your trip to them. I live in London and my hospital does this. You'll have to wait awhile, but they definitely do their job. Speak to your hospital or bc nurse and insists on having all the help you need, don't be shy about asking! Fingers crossed! Big hug, xx
