Bit of a background, age 67, had BC 30 years ago, Lumpectomy, radio therapy no node involvement. Just to mention the lump was taken out by a local hospital who never took a wide margin. Royal Marsden took over my treatment and gave me an extra boost of radiation because of lack of margin. Good for years then had nipple discharge irritation etc 8 years ago and the Marsden did all usual biopsies and the results were radiation damage. They also did BRCA testing which was negative. Mother 2 mastectomy's and uterus cancer. Roll on today, call back on mammogram, same breast and had ultrasound, biopsies and markers. Consultant radiologist not sure what it is, needs clarity. This was Thursday afternoon, got a text message Friday morning with appointment this Thursday, either by phone or face to face, will receive a letter. Yesterday morning a letter to see the surgeon this Thursday. Can't work out if this is good or bad, too quick for results? Anyone experienced anything similar?
Hi Casmo
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you are facing a breast cancer diagnosis. You usually get a face to face appointment with your surgeon whether it's good or bad news. The quickness of the return of your results depends on what hospital trust you are with so it's possible that the results are back, because you've had breast cancer before they may have asked that your results be given priority.
I had a biopsy earlier on this year and my results were back within a week.
Wishing you the best of luck with your appointment on Thursday and let us know how you got on.
Best wishes

Hi Daisy, some results in only 50%, grade 2 tumour 4 cm. Nodes inconclusive but ultrasound too suspicious. Booked surgery, CT scan, MRI depending on results treatment surgery first, or chemo first and type. So my journey begins the second time around. I hope your doing OK? Or as well as can be expected
Best wishes
