Hello I'm new here  my husband has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is having a mastectomy on Monday

  • Hi    sorry to hear this, the diagnosis of a partner is tough for both, I think.  There is a chat BLOKES WITH BREAST CANCER  that you might find useful as whilst it's less common in men, this chat is very active and supportive.

Also, this link Breast cancer in men might be useful for you. Best wishes

  • Hi  , sorry you find yourself here but a warm welcome to the forum. I have found it a great place for support and shared experiences. There’s a thread here called Blokes With Breast Cancer (or similar) in the General Discussion section which would be worth checking out, for you and your husband. As there are so many fewer men with breast cancer it can be even more isolating for them and their families. Great that you have joined us here, and he may then feel comfortable with joining too. There’s also a group for Friends and Families on the site.
Keep posting and asking any questions, you’re both at the tortuous stage of waiting for things to happen. Sending love and a big virtual hug your way, HFxx
