Hi, finding day one really overwhelming. Cant think about anything else.
Hi JanMB,
The first few days are really the hardest, you are still in shock and trying to process it all! Things however will get better little by little when you start accepting and getting used to your diagnosis. Nowadays breast cancer is very treatable and even people with metastatic cancer have good chances of having a fairly normal (and long!) life! Do your best to stay positive, try to be as active as possible and don't be afraid to talk about how you feel with family, friends and with all the amazing ladies here! We've all been through what you are going through right now - it is scary but it will get better with time! Stay in touch if it helps and the best of luck with your treatment!

Hi JanMB
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. You will find plenty of support here if you need it.
Things can be a bit overwhelming at times particularly when you are waiting for results of tests come back and while you are waiting for your treatment plan. But things should start to get easier once you have that plan and you know what's happening.
Wishing you the best of luck with whatever treatment your medical team puts you on.
Best wishes

Hey Jan what you are going through is completely natural.its overwhelming. I take it you have just been diagnosed ,- what have they suggested as next line of treatment? You have made a great decision joining this forum - it's an invaluable source of support advice and also laughs from time to time. Much better than the frightening Dr google. When you are thinking of things and questions write them down straight away so you have a list to take to your oncologist or ask on here. You will more than likely find someone on here who has been through similar treatment to you or has had similar side effects and can give you coping strategies.
Stay strong xxxx
