Hi I was diagnosed with breast cancer July 2023 and wish I could turn back the clock to before this cancer consumed my every thoughts .
Hi, sorry to hear of your diagnosis but you will get there. Try and do the things you like to take your mind if it. Keep busy. The stage you are at is the worst with tests and waiting on results. Sending best wishes and hugs xx
Hi, I am sorry to hear you were diagnosed. I was diagnosed too in July. Not the news I wanted to hear but we have got this. It does consume you, but as others have said, try to keep busy and do the things that make you happy. This forum is great for advice and support. Wish you all the best for your treatment. Sending hugs x
Hi, I was diagnosed very recently too, I found myself in the same position whereby all I could think about was the worst case scenarios, I did the worst thing possible and googled within an inch of my life but without your results you often end up looking at things that won’t be relevant to you. The worst part is the waiting because there is nothing else that you are able to concentrate on and sleep goes out of the window! However, I had my results appointment just this week and although there are still some areas that require discussion you will feel more relaxed when you know there is a plan in place. Sending lots of hugs xx
Hi and welcome to the club nobody chooses to join. However it's a safe place on here to get support help and advice. At any time as there is even an awake thread for those struggling to sleep. As others have said you are at the worst bit not knowing what's going to happen. But you will get through and once you have your plan it will give you something to focus on. Keep a notepad handy so that if you think of anything to ask your team you can write it down before you forget. And yes avoid Dr google as it can frightem the bejesus out of you. Don't forget there is also Macmillan support lines you can call for medical advice as well.
Take care and stay strong xx
Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed, I was diagnosed 22nd June 23, in just under 3 week from then, I had ct scan done, bloods, ecg, oncology to discuss treatment plan, more bloods, picc line done and 1st cycle of chemo, a few days after was mri, and have had echocardiogram and then back to breast clinic to have a marker put in and just had 2nd chemo last week.
Good luck on your journey, its one that noone wants to be on xx
