Hi, everyone. It is nice to have a group so that we can share some but sad news. I just had given the bad news on 27th July that I got this uncommon Adcc cancer. But still wait for ER, PR, HER2, CK5/6 and CK/14 which. Does anyone know if it’s normal for this test to take this long to come back and if there is anything I can do?? The ultrasound core biopsy done on 17th July. Many thanks to you all
Hi JH2023, sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Results can take a while maybe 2-3 weeks depending on the area you live in. Some places I have heard can take longer. Fingers crossed you will have your shortly. HER2 can sometimes take a little longer, I don’t know why. I had my complete results given to me by my surgeon 3 weeks after my biopsies were done at the breast clinic.
Wishing you all the best for getting your results soon.

cuffcake2000 Thank you so much for the reply. At this stage just feel powerless to do anything but wait....
Hello, I am really sorry to read this. Feeling a lack of control, and being on the end of the waiting game is really horrid, and is so commonly felt. At this stage, many people try to regain some sense of control using various mechanisms. Personally, and whilst waiting for the results and my treatment plan, I thoroughly cleaned the house from top to bottom. I was on a mission. As it happened I had a PICC line fitted 9 days after seeing the consultant, so it was just as well that I’d done as much as I could! Some people do batch cooking, freezing meals. Others practice self care, gathering support if needed in preparation for the treatment plan (whatever that might be).
Your team are gathering as much information as they can, so that they can target this. That is a good thing, but many of us know how difficult that can be. Xx
Hi JH2023
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed breast cancer. The waiting on test results to come back is hard. Keep in touch with your breast care nurse as they can chivvy the lab along if the tests are being done in the hospital where you were diagnosed.
Wishing you the best of luck with your results.
Best wishes
