New here & just wanted to connect to others going through same thing. Always have regular mammograms. Last in 2021. But had a niggling feeling for weeks having seen my one nipple ever so slightly inverted at times. Glad I requested mammogram till waiting to be asked. Two days ago had mammograms, ultrasound and biopsies. Waiting results, next week hopefully. But been told do have breast cancer and will have mastectomy. Results will indicate any other treatments needed. Upset but staying positive.x
Hi, welcome to the forum. It is pretty daunting isn’t it. I was diagnosed two weeks ago from a routine mammogram. Having surgery to remove it and sentinel node biopsy. The waiting for results was the worst but to be honest. Trying to remain positive about it all. Hope you get your results soon and get started on your treatment plan. Hugs xx
Will do. It's comforting to have people around that know what your going through.
Hi, Thanks for your reply. It means a lot to be in touch with others going through same thing. I came on here spur of the moment. Just looked and saw your reply.. Was trying to get my head around it all online, but then again not wanting to read too much till I have my results. All feels like a bad dream at mo. Mornings worse on waking up for feeling bit down, but then the positivity kicks in for rest of day. Do stay in touch and let me know how you're getting on. All best wishes to you. x
Hi, Yes the waiting is the worse bit I think at the moment. It does still feel like a bad dream, you are right. I am the same, finding it hard to sleep, it all goes around and around in my head. Once I am up and about and at work, I’m fine. I keep busy. Then I am more positive about it all. Have down days though. Waiting for my op next week which is making me a bit apprehensive I have to admit. But we have to keep going and keep positive. Best wishes to you too, keep in touch, let me know how you get on x
Hi Sunrise123
Just a word of warning, don't google your breast cancer once you know your results. The information on google is at least five years out of date. Rely on sites like this one and breast cancer now for your information.
