Hi Happysunshine, sorry to hear of your diagnosis. It’s understandable that you are apprehensive about your surgery. I didn’t have a mastectomy so I can’t offer much advice about that but there will be lots of lovely people along soon who can share their experiences with you. I had exactly the same surgery on 10th July and I'm already feeling alright. The first day after the surgery is the worst, but after that you'll start feeling better and better. You will be fine! Big hug! X

I've been told I'll be in hospital a minimum of 1 week, was you in for a week too ? x

My surgery was on Monday and they let me go on Thursday. My surgeon told me that they usually keep their patients between 3 and 5 days. Of course it depends on how you are recovering from your surgery.
