Hi all new to this, chatting thing, but not breast cancer unfortunately, this is my second diagnosis, 10 years down the line from last time. I'm trying to talk about it this time locked it all inside last time, not the best idea. Took me years to come around from the shock last time. Hopefully talking with everyone in similar situations will help me this time.
So sorry to hear of your new diagnosis. I decided when I was first diagnosed that I wasn’t going to pretend that it wasn’t happening. I talk to everyone and most people are firstly staggered when you tell them you have cancer but many tell you of their mum, neighbour etc who came through it and are doing well. I find that encouraging.
this forum is great for getting things off your chest and the people here are amazing and have a wealth of knowledge to help you through.
please keep talking
Well done for reaching out to this group of warriors.
You will get loads of support here - we are all with you in our myriad of different diagnoses and treatment plans/stages.
If you have a Maggies Centre attached to your treatment centre it’s’ a great place to go for some face to face support. I have found the one in Leeds brilliant.
Meanwhile, you know where we are,
Jan x
