Hello everyone,
I was given the news on Wednesday that what was initially thought to be primary breast cancer is now secondary BC. I found a lump just over 6 weeks ago by chance, no other symptoms, and fortunately because I am a nurse in the hospital was able to be seen quite quickly. There was I thinking because there was only one axillary lymph node involved that I would be having maybe chemo then surgery, but the PET scan has has revealed some bone mets and mediastinum lymph node... . I'm presently still reeling from the diagnosis and also being told its incurable in the bones, I was offered a clinical trial but decided to go with the standard treatment and started taking Letrozole today. I just want to speak to others in the same or similar situation to me as at present feeling very scared of what's ahead. xxx
Sorry....I should have said hello and whilst it's awful to find yourself here, welcome. I do hope things start to improve for you once your treatment starts properly. My only excuse for being so impolite is I'm really tired tonight. A busy day looking after my mother plus a very warm one!
Take care and keep in touch.
