  1. Hi everyone I have just been diagnosed with tnbd grade 2 I after wait for mri then they will decide weather to do chemo first or the op I'm so scared anybody had the same cancer
  • Hi Don

I was diagnosed with TNBC grade 3 in March my lump was small so had a lumpectomy 5 weeks ago and waiting to see oncologist on 7 th June for plan of chemo . It’s a terrifying time waiting for results and treatment . My advice is to not google TNBC as you will have yourself died and buried within a week the info  is outdated there is a lot of research now into this cancer and new treatments .Good luck xx

  • My lump is 2cm I have a mri on Tuesday to see if there doing chemo or op first yes I have goggled and I wish I hadn't

  • My lump was 1.6 cm so they said surgery first for me .

  • Hi there,

My lump was also 1.6cm and it was suggested that i had chemo first whilst they did genetic testing and then surgery - so treatment centres are different in their approach. I was diagnosed 2 days before Christmas and started treatment in February - am due to finish chemo on June 23rd. Mine was a grade 3. The treatment has definitely been doable for me with limited side effects - though tired!. At the half way mark of chemo there was no evidence of the tumour on the MRI.

Echo the stay away from Google and trust your team will tailor a bespoke package that is right for you.

The waiting is always the worst. Once your treatment plan is in place and has started you will feel better - try not to overthink everything. We have all been there it’s that and it’s soul destroying. Not pretending it’s not a road with bumps - but you will be ok,

  • I’m going for genetic testing on the 15 th June , I know a few ladies that have had chemo and immunotherapy first on 2cm lumps .so it’s definitely not one size fits all . Jan is right you do feel better when you have a plan , I was terrible at the start not knowing what was happening but feel much better now .Take care x

  • Hi everyone update my lump is 19mm not 32mm so they will do the op first then chemo it hasn't spread so I feel alot better
