Bra Help

Hi, have just had cancer surgery/ sentinel lymph nodes removed and a breast reduction in my left breast. I've been told to wear extra supportive bra. My problem is my left breast is now half the size.  So normally I'm a 36g/gg. If I wear this normal size then my new boob has no support at all Rofl and if I now wear a bra to support smaller boob I'm going to completely squish the other one. I don't know what to do, or if I should be putting padding in?

Any help appreciated. Thankyou

  • marks and spencer have post surgery bras that have pockets inserts available if you want to even out. they will do a fitting to in some shops

  • Thanks, these look good , it was more for now whilst the wound is healing but I think I could put extra inserts in to give support.

  • that was my thought, can get biggr and have an insert to support the other, but may be best to ask Dr or nurses,

i went between sports bra type, because it was front closing and super support and slept in halter type to breathe

  • Hi

asda do gtreat post op bras with front fastening think they are £16 or £18 for 2. M&S also do a cotton sleep post bra which is really comfortable.

    take care

  • I was given a 'softie' at breast clinic to put in smaller side, it gave some padding and felt comfortable.  You can take a bit the filling out to make it fit better. I bought sports bras to start so not so obvious.  I assure you, you feel lop-sided but no-one notices.  Take care.
