Radiotherapy

Hi there its usually 8 weeks I started yesterday having had my op on 15th March was ok my arms ached while holding them up for so long while they got my exact measurements and I felt tired last night but all good this morning good luck with your treatment

How many sessions are you having?

Today is my 1 year anniversary of my lumpectomy. I had 5 sessions of radiotherapy which should have been 8 weeks post surgery but I contracted covid.I found the radiotherapy very tiring and uncomfortable at times even though I had full movement back in arm and shoulder.

I have been having the odd issue or 2. But breast nurses have reassured me that it all seems natural. I didn't realise that 9 months down the line the radiation would still be working now. Just glad that its all done.
