Hi guys I have recently been diagnosed stage 1 grade 3 breast cancer. I’m having straight surgery and have been told will need chemo after because I’m HER2 positive. Does anyone know how long I willbe on chemo for ? Thanks you and wishing you well

Hi Molly1234, I was diagnosed with Grade 3 IDC and triple positive. I had surgery first followed by 4 x EC every 2 weeks and 4 x Docetaxel with Phesgo injections for the HER2+ every 3 weeks The injections of phesgo I will continue for a year. I started my chemo on 6th December and have just had my last chemo on 13th April. Your plan may be different as everyone’s plan is individually designed to suit their diagnosis. If you click on my name you can see my journey and timeline so far.
Wishing you all the best for your journey.

Hi, it will depend on the type of chemo as all treatment is pretty personalised. I was also HER positive and had 6 cycles of chemo, each 3 weeks apart. Click on my name to see more, or I blogged, it's in the blog section and it's called “one life live it”. Hope you get your treatment plan soon
