This is my first post ever on a forum so, hello.
It has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride so far. Found a lump at beginning of March and diagnosed with TNC stage 2, grade 3, IDC.
Usually, I’m on the other side of the NHS as a nurse practitioner who knows absolutely nothing about breast cancer so it has been a steep learning curve!
Anyway, due to start chemo today (EC-T) cannot have the platinum therapy as I only have one kidney. I don’t think anything prepares you for the journey of a cancer diagnosis and treatment but this forum appears to be really supportive and non-judgmental, which is what I need in life right now. People say you’re brave and a strong person, but we don’t really have a choice, do we!
Right, I have decorating to finish and blinds to put up before chemo, so good luck to anyone else on this well travelled path we’re all on.
x
