Just to sayWave hi. Last ThursdaWavey, 23rd of March, I've received my biopsy results, which confirmed I had cancer. I will be treated in the Royal Marsden and my first appointment is next week. I'm scared.

  • Hi Guida, sorry you find yourself here - it is scary but once you get your treatment plan it will get a bit easier to deal with.  I was treated at the RM and they are great there so you are in good hands! Good luck with your treatment xxx

  • Hi Guida

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  It's perfectly understandable that you are feeling scared, being told you have cancer is scary.  Breast cancer is very treatable and once you have your treatment plan things should start to get better for you.

Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment when it starts.

    Best wishes

  • I am new here I have also been diagnosed with breast cancer very scared

  • Hi, it is only natural that you are scared.  Have faith in your care team.  They will look after you well.  Take one step at a time and don’t run ahead of yourself.  Things will settle when you get a plan.

  • Hi Guida and everyone.  I’m new in here.  First post.  Also just diagnosed.  It’s scary for sure.  I think the fear is mostly the unknown.  How bad is it and what treatment will I need?  I feel once I know more I will be better able to face it.  I hear the RM is really good.  Good luck.

  • Hi Guida.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2022. I was 33 years old. I have now completed all my treatment and have no signs of cancer anywhere.

my specialist has said to me there is no reason why I won’t live a long and healthy life from now on.

wishing you all the best in this challenging time

  • Hi Ttls, completely agree with you. It seems we are in the same boat to an unknown destination and the sea is rough...however, its good to know that we are not alone. I hope to continue to hear from you and good luck on your journey. Big  hug

  • Thank you for your kind words. And your story gives hope to the ones just starting. It must be so comforting to hear such good news. All the best

  • It was the best news I had ever got in my life. I was very lucky in the fact it was caught so early so didn’t have time to spread.
