Hot flushes how long?

• I've had the same problem I loved taking hrt then had to stop for breast cancer the hot flushes were driving me mad doctor has prescribed venlaflaxine it seams to be helping although early days I've been on them 3wks but it's really uplifted my mood too hope that helps and good luck xx

Hi all I had my lumpectamy and 5 lymph nodes removed 2 wks ago but now I have a seroma develop on my lymph node removal site it's quite painful only thing I find that's helping is a warm wheat bag applied under my armpit its ok for a while while I'm sitting then when I get up it starts hurting again any advise would be great xx

I had 3 seromas had them drained 4 times then got infection I hope yours goes away quickly you might need antibiotics I did xxx good luck

• Hi I'm going through the same thing my hot flushes come on every 30 minutes! I have Two small hand fans one by my bed other by sofa. I brought menopause clothes from M&S also Primark have them. Keep drinking water. But it affects me the same way sleeping so hot even when it's freezing. Take care x

Yep I dont go anywhere without my fan!! Funny though I’ve just spent 3 weeks in Mexico and not once did I get one!! But yes even when it’s freezing I’m roasting, I tried nada acupuncture as well but didn’t really help. I’ve asked the cancer nurse for advice, so I’ll let you know x

Thanks for your reply I'm going to hospital tommorow for my results from my opp I am dreading it but it's got to be done l hope they can sort my seroma too take care xx
