Hello, I've been diagnosed 3 wks ago. Had an MRI which has shown further suspect sites on both breasts, so waiting for an ultrasound and I think further biopsies. I've not had any time other than initial diagnosis with consultant and am nervous about what's to come in terms of treatment. Glad to find you all.

  • Hi TLB71

I was Her2+ and have now finished all my treatment.

This is the hardest part all the waiting for results. Once you are given all the information and treatment plan you feel you can then take a bit more control of the situation.

I had 6 rounds of chemo, a lumpectomy, radiotherapy then 14 rounds of Kadcyla.  I found chemo the hardest the rest was quite straightforward

Hope everything goes well and we are all here to support each other.

    Carolyn

  • Thank you Carolyn, I really appreciate your message. I’m glad you’re out the other side. May I ask what timeframe your treatment covered and whether you felt able to work in between ? I appreciate everyone is different of course.

  • Hi  MY DIAGNOSIS WAS HER2+ if you click my name you can check out my story with timeframe .

everyone’s plan and therefore timeframe can differ  I was nearly 70 when diagnosed 2019 as previously said waiting is the worst time .

Hope you get your plan soon

  • Hi TLB71, click my name to see where I'm at in treatment. I had my first Chemotherapy treatment on 3rd October and have been signed off work since then. I anticipate being off until after surgery and radiotherapy. I think it depends on what treatment plan your on and how your body responds to it. I have been very tired and not eating much after each chemo. No it because of nausea because you are given medications for that. But because my appetite was down and you mouth feels weird and sense of taste in is affected.
