Does the drain go across my chest
I had two drains (due to the length of my incision), with both inserted into my armpit. I also had a cloth bag given to me in the hospital. My BC nurse told me that they would give me one after the op, otherwise I would have made one before the op (from videos how to do on YouTube). My op was just over 2 weeks ago. The first drain came out almost a week ago and the second is getting closer to coming out. Take care. x
Hi, mine was behind my arm pit towards my back. Also had a light cotton bag to keep it in. Saves trying to walk off and forget it. - did it once !
removed after one week - painless - held with one stitch only.
xx
Thank you so much. Mine was just under 2 weeks, had one drain out and dressings off, remaining drain off tomorrow all being well It was when they removed the first drain that the problem occurred. The pain down my arm was quite severe, so much so that I thought the drain was actually down my arm. Still not gone. Maybe time will tell. X
Thank you for the info. Much appreciated. Take care. Xx
