I'm to scared to do it

  • Everyone is but you will get there . It's essential now . I'm terrified and probably will have to be knocked unconscious but I know I have to do it

  • Hello. Just found out Monday I have breast cancer starting treatment soon. I'm do scared but we have yo do this

  • Hi Jellyfish. It is scary because it’s the unknown. It’s a rollercoaster of a journey, you can click on my name to see mine if you like. Once you have a treatment plan in place it does help. It’s good to chat in the forums, we have all been there and know how you are feeling. Everyone is different and no one knows what side effects they may get. There are lots of drugs to help combat them if you do get any.
Try and take one day at a time keep focussed and stay positive, I know it’s easier said than done. There will be good and not so good days but you will get there Kissing heart.

Wishing you all the best on your journey.

    Hugs from cuffcake x x x x x

  • I felt exactly the same so totally sympathise with you.  I’m getting through it by trying not  to think too far ahead.  Baby steps, one thing at a time, it makes it more doable.  I’ve had the op and finding out results and treatment plan this week. Good luck with it all.  There is lots of help and support here xx

  • Once you have started it will become a routine. It can be difficult sometimes but it’s a means to being well again.

I was scared and most of us were the same, but the nurses and medics are so helpful, kind and supportive. They’ve seen and heard it all before.

Give yourself the chance to cry, shout if you need to - anything to relieve the anxiety.

Each time you have treatment, cross it off and see it as getting better.

keeping a diary helps for recording symptoms, feelings- also useful for recording any meds you have to have - I am old enough to forget what I took earlier!

I have looked at mine recently and you can think to yourself how well you are doing and progressing.

    hugs xx

  • You got this. Its a scary journey. But you will do.it
