Hello everyone,

Sooo got diagnosed yesterday with breast cancer that’s spread to the armpit lymph node.Waiting for a CT scan and worried that my shoulder and neck pain means it’s already spread. Other than that… I’m 45, was planning to get married -probably still will- and trans guy so yup got breasts unfortunately for me.

Cheers Slight smile

  • Welcome Brian69, sorry you had to join this club. No one would choose to be here, it's a great place for support, information and kind words. I get my treatment plan next week.

My first symptom was pain in the arm pit after the Covid jab, 2 weeks later I got a spasm that went on for hours in my breast then down my leg. It was the breast dimple that clarified it for me. I have invasive ductal carcinoma and it was in 1 lymph node. It's treatable is the main thing for me. Hope you get what you need from them soon. Xx

  • Hey Sabrina, thanks for the welcome. Glad it’s treatable, that’s my main concern at this point too. Having spasms for hours sounds horribly scary. Wish you the best starting with your plan next week :)

  • Hey Brian, I’m 18 months ahead - lucky me!

don’t assume anything until they give you your result - the mind can play tricks on you.

Once you have a diagnosis, and, if necessary a treatment plan, everything will fall into place.

one step at a time- sounds cliched but makes sense.

    good luck xx

  • Hey Trent, thanks for the welcome and glad you’re 18months in. I’m assuming it’s a good thing yes? Checked your profile so… you’re getting there?

On a silly note: I think I have found every lump, bump and ache in my body in the past week n just connecting them all. Sigh.

  • Sorry for the second reply but saw your other post about your life and didn’t wanna hijack that topic. Just to say: I have had a hellish last 5 years: multiple miscarriages, divorce, cats died and finally this year I met a nice guy got a nice job and was happy. For a few months. Just… why…

  • Brian, it’s normal to do that!

Yes I have been told that I am clear. It’s only the first year but I’ll take that.
only saying that because it’s nice to know the treatment is worth it xx

  • Thanks nice to hear. Congratulations! One down! Heart

And yeah it is nice to know. Thanks for telling

  • Good luck for the scan  - a quick and painless procedure.

Sorry you’ve had a bad few years. Enjoy your nice guy , plan the wedding. Glad you like your job, I am retired- oooh sooo lucky!

    xx

  • Haha! Thanks Trent. This whole chat made me feel better. Appreciate it! Here’s to a long and happy retirement to you and to reaching a retirement age to me! Grin
