Have just been diagnosed with breast cancer with her2 as well. So much information given to me and then my car broke down so was stranded in it for several hours. I’m disabled as well so ended up in dreadful pain which affected my back and neck (back cause of my disability so have mobility issues). This meant I’ve been house bound for a week now in severe pain not really knowing what’s going on. I have several investigation scans at the weekend but am scared not only of the results but also for the car breaking down again. Trying to stay strong for my children who also care for me but just feel such a burden. Not use where to turn or who to turn to. Not sleeping or eating properly and living with that scared feeling in my chest and stomach. Just feel alone.
So sorry you have had the diagnosis that has brought you here. It is the most horrible thing being told you have cancer. Please if you feel able reach out to the lovely volunteers on the Macmillan helpline. It is a comfort to speak with someone. The anxiety does lift for a while when you’ve shared your fears etc. Here is the number if you aren’t sure of it 0808 808 00 00. Sending a big hug and hope your pain eases soon.
Thank you for replying I will definitely try.
