Hi I started chemo last Friday.. Ive successfully packed up smoking before my treatment started (frightened to ever smoke again tbh). I'm waking up in the morning with an cough and quite phlegmy do you think this is because I've packed up the evil fags or should I mention this .. my next session isn't until Tuesday 3rd x
Hi Yme, well done for giving up smoking that’s brilliant. it might be worth calling the hotline number that was given just to discuss with them it will help put your mind at rest. They can advise what’s best to do or look out for. I have had a cough since before I started chemo as I had a cold and it has never really gone, but I keep a close eye on it and check in with my chemo nurses and oncologist every chemo session.
Wishing you all the best on your journey.
