Hi everyone was diagnosed 13 days ago with breast cancer, caught early stage one. Had lumpectomy 4 days ago. Everything has happened so so fast, not sure it’s sunk in yet! Worst part telling my family, seeing everyone upset. Feeling sore, tired but trying to stay positive , thanks guys x
Hi Lavender Blue
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s good that they caught it early and that you had your op within two weeks of being diagnosed.
Just take things a day at a time and don’t be too hard on yourself.
Best of luck with whatever comes next.
Best wishes

Hi Lavender Blue, goodness me, that is quick!! That’s really good news, but equally, it is no wonder that it hasn’t sunk in yet! People go on a standard holiday for longer than the time than you have had to process this. But process it you will, so be kind to yourself when things might not feel so easy. It’s a shock for anyone. The soreness does wear off after a little while. It’s nice that you have family. Rest well, and take care. Xx
Ah thank you you so much, sending well wishes your way x
Hi Cloudier, thank you so much for your kind and reassuring words, taking each day as it comes, sending well wishes your way x
It's so painfulin a variety of ways. I had my diagnosis 31st Nov surgery 7 days later on 7th Dec. I still am in shock sometime but glad they acted quickly. The physical pain eased a lot after the fit 2 wks. The swelling and bruising has gone, just scar tissue now. My arm movement isn't so easy. It doesn't lift up so well, seems a bit stuck around the shoulder. Did anyone else get this. I am do
g the exercises. It might be cording I've been told. Still in bed, listening to Abba through the wall from my son's bedroom.
Wow so fast. Glad you got your op quickly.
I am early days yet. Have had biopsy, ct and have been told treatable but don't know stage yet was told csmaese would be discussed Tuesday at first meeting after Christmas so hope will have more I fo on my case next week and treatment plan.
Really understand how you must be struggling to process with it moving this quickly but is good in a way they moved quickly.
All the best wishes and hugs xxzxx
