Hi

I felt a lump in my left breast about 5 weeks ago, since then I’ve had a dr’s appointment, then about 10 days later was my hospital appointment. I’m glad I read up about what may be involved - I had 6 mammogram images, ultrasound and biopsy with 2 samples taken - and the person doing the ultrasound was the one to say that they thought it would turn out to be something.

last Wednesday was the appointment in the Breast clinic - 25mm cancer (I think DCIS) and a further 101mm of calcification that they aren’t happy with. ER+ so straight off HRT (not happy as brain fog and low mood was main reason for being on it). Waiting to hear about HER2. So came out with info about mastectomy and breast reconstruction- I wake up trying to figure out what to do!

CT scan yesterday - I am hoping that was all clear. I’m not sure when my next appointment will be due to the Christmas holidays but I’m hoping it won’t be long - will find out HER2 and scan results, then hopefully a plan will be put in place. I had read that the waiting is the worst bit - I now agree. Trying to reign in my thoughts as they go to worst case scenarios. Trying to stay busy (which isn’t hard at this time of year).

Sorry this is so long, I’m still trying to take in that I have breast cancer.

  • Me too, I feel numb. I am post surgery by 2 wks. Waiting for results. Stage 2, lumpectomy and all lymph nodes removed. Grim but at least we get a chance to fight it. Hope and prayers is all I have right now. Have to wait. Xx
