Pain on day 12

I suspect the swelling is reducing and things are moving a bit, causing the pain. Also, you’ll be doing more and therefore putting more strain on the area.  If it doesn’t subside after the weekend, I’d contact your breast care nurse on Monday x

I have also had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy. I had mine a few days ago, I know mine is early days, I’ve been taking co-codamol, which a doctor from 111 recommended. 

I am also feeling numbness around that area, maybe call your GP or BC nurse. I’m sure they will be able to help, my breast surgeon told me he would see me on the 14th December. Perhaps it would beorth ringing yours to get the appointment sorted. I believe most patients are seen around two weeks after the operation. Good luck let us know how you get on xx 

• Thanks Valleyside, my f/up appointment was going to be 2/12 but my results were not back I was told to expect a call this week with an appointment. I wonder if like me you have found the pain manageable the 1st week? My really bad pain only started well into my 2nd week post op. I will ring my b/c nurse tomorrow to see what she thinks, good luck with everything

I’m uncomfortable, but it’s more of an ache and numbness than anything else. It has been worse at night when trying to sleep.
