Just had my first round of TC which didn't go very good. Firstly they couldn't find a vein then they couldn't fit the correct size needle, so had to use normal size which made it a very long day, now I will have to have a pic line fitted. Then I had a reaction to the dox chemo. Now it's going into 3rd day and waiting for the affects to start, not looking forward to it .
Hi KebabyCourier
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer and that your first round of chemo didn’t go well. Hopefully your next round of chemo will go better particularly as you will have a PICC Line I had a PICC Line fitted when I had my treatment and I found it great as not only did they give me my chemo through it they also took my bloods between treatments through it.
Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your treatment.
Best wishes

KebabyCourierI had my first TC treatment on Wednesday and had a reaction to the dox too! Scary at the time, but all treated really quickly and hopefully next time they will know to give extra steroids and antihistamine. Over the weekend I have suffered with really bad heartburn, my body hurts and a sore throat/mouth...thankfully I haven't been sick Hope you have been doing ok?.
