I am having Paclitaxel and Trastuzumab treatment for early stage HER2 positive breast cancer. During the treatment I have had two episodes of pancreatitis, most likely caused by gall stones. Has anyone had pancreatitis during treatment?
Hi Grandmother and welcome to the forum. It simply be a coincidence that the two things have happened at the same time, as you say it could be likely caused by gallstones. Have they had a look to see if your Gallbladder needs removed if Gallstones are causing these issues.
I havent heard of the treatment you are having causing those issues but maybe some of the lovely folks on here may know more about this and will be along soon to offer up some more information. xxxx
Thank you for your reply. I will most likely have a pause in the cancer treatment and have the gallbladder or blocking gall stones out. I am in the hospital at the mooment for a third bout of pancreatitis. Something needs to be done, even if there is break in cancer treatment.
