Hello Wave

Was anyone else been totally taken aback when a routine check - 1st Mammogram lead to things moving surreally quicky.

In space of 2 weeks from receiving letter advising I need a follow up to said Mammogram -  I have had the  specialist breast climic appointment for further screening/ 4 biopsies taken  (Wednesday) and as of Friday my appointment with Breast surgeon confirmed in 10 day from now !

Very impressed at response BUT

I should be concerned  right!  - this is unlikely to be alot of fuss over nothing !

After biopsies and in comfortable room with couches and kind nurse - I could ask the question bluntly but I felt I was being prepared for a significant something!

Obviously no one can advise - but its moving fast Pensive

  • Hello and yes this is the norm.  Click on my name and you'll see my story which began 7 years ago at my first routine screening.  Xx

Hi Flyaway welcome to the forum and like others have already said it does indeed move quickly, which on the one hand is good and on the other sends your head into a complete spin and thats normal for us all I think. It sounds like they may have seen something suspicious on the Mammogram which is what happened for me and hence the biopsies and further Mammogram I imagine. The results will hopefully be back for that appointment with the Breast Surgeon when you should know exactly what if anything it is that you are dealing with and a Plan of action developed with you, for you.

It can feel like you have stepped onto a rollercoaster and its going too fast for you. However, that's what this forum is all about and we are here for you at any time you want to come on and chat, so please keep in touch and let us know how this goes for you. Thinking of you and sending some hugs your way for now. nxxx
