I am 10 months into a oestrogen tumour in my left breast and a HER 2 diagnosis in my lymph nodes.   I have done 12 cycles of horrendous chemo, surgery stage 3 aggressive tumour and 15 lymph nodes with two diseased  and 4 weeks of radiotherapy.   I have been out in Anastrozole which I started this week.  I’m nit sleeping…is that normal?  I’m scared that I’ve gone through all of this to get it somewhere else.   I have no support group and a husband who wants to pretend it’s not happening

  • Hi Mel B, sorry to hear of your diagnosis and all that you have been through. By coming to the online forums you will get support from others who are going through their journey too. You can also chat to the online MacMillan support staff to, they may be able to offer advice on how to also help your husband to cope with all that is going on to. It must so difficult to cope with all of this on your own and also frightening. Do you have any family & friends who are able to help support you? There maybe others on the chat forums who also have partners that are finding things difficult to and can offer advice. I don't sleep brilliantly so days are better than others. It might be worth chatting to your BCN or Dr as there maybe something they can give you to help with the sleeping.

I wish you all the best on your journey

  • Hi Cuffcake

thank you for understanding.  I’ve had no support from my clinic and nothing from my GP.  I will give it a chance and see whether it brings any help forward. X
