Had my first chemo session 10 days ago and today is the first day I've felt back to my normal self. The side effects of the chemo have been bad and hopefully when I see the oncologist next week he will be able to adjust the dosage.
Another 5 sessions of chemo to go followed by mastectomy then targeted chemo by injection for a further 6 months.
At least I now know what to expect after the chemo session.
Hi bjb2022,
How are you feeling now? I've just had my first chemo cycle and am on day 7 but still feel dreadful, I'm so sorry you took 10 days to feel normal, it's really hellish and I hope you have a better time on your second cycle. Best wishes xx
Hi Montybojangles
Had second cycle of chemo 2 weeks ago. Followed the same pattern as the previous cycle. I would say you'll start to feel better in another week. In my case, I've still not lost any hair and the tumour is disappearing. I see the oncologist next Tuesday, we'll see what he has to say.
Persevere with your treatment and let's hope for a positive outcome in the future.
Hi Bjb2022
I'm sorry to hear your side effects are bad. I'm day 8 after my first chemo session, and starting to feel a little more like me yet a long way to go.
It's scary to start with, yet at least we know what to vaguely expect for the next session and hopefully your oncologist can adjust your medication and help reduce your side effects.
Wishing you positive thoughts and feel good vibes x
