Went to scan as had change in shape was not expecting anything to be found so only 48 hours ago I was told out right by Dr that she's 90  percent sure it's cancer before the biopsy results come back so what the hell do I do now

  • Hello & welcome but sorry you find yourself here.  The waiting for results is awful and probably one of the worse parts of this situation.  Have they given you date to go back for results ?  I was given appointment for week later but it was 2015 and ore Covid.  Just to warn you those responding on here are ladies & gents who had. BC diagnosis,  Those with good news tend to not stick around after all clear so don't take responses negatively.  Click on any posters name to see their profile xx

  • Not had appointment yet they said 10 days for results so over a week to wait

  • Hi there, sorry you find yourself here and, as Grogg aus, the waiting is the worst. I found once I had a treatment plan it was easier as I knew what I was dealing with.  If you click on my profile name you can find out a bit more about me.  I found the only way to deal with the waiting was to keep busy and distract myself. Best wishes

  • Hi Magick, I’m in almost the same situation as you. I had a mammogram, ultrasound & biopsy on Friday & I’m back this week for the biopsy results but the consultant told me just by looking at the scans it’s a small breast cancer.

The waiting is almost unbearable & I go from being positive we’ve caught it early & we can just scoop it out to thinking the worst the next minute.

Hope you get some results quickly

  • Hi Magick, sorry you are on this forum, it's a massive shock when you are told you probably have breast cancer, then you have to wait to have it confirmed.  When that happened to me a couple of months ago, I used the time to prepare and find out everything I needed to know and ask at my next appointment.  Waiting is the worst but I have tried not to think too far ahead.  This site has lots of information and  even some suggestions for questions to ask at appointments.  Hopefully your results come back quickly and you know what you are dealing with x
