  • Hi Hifromthedam, I too was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, (grade3) and are ER+, PR+ and HER2+. Yes total shock when you find out its so hard to believe. I have tried to come to terms with things and accept it. That being said it is hard to accept but it does help to ease some of the stress and anxiety.  Relaxation programs/apps may help, I know they have helped me. I try to stay strong for myself, my husband and my kids. I have found this online community a brilliant support network along with my local Macmillan centre. Good luck for your meeting on Wednesday.

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  It's perfectly understandable that you are terrified but once you know what your plan is things should start to feel a lot clearer.  Breast cancer is very treatable these days.  I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer just over two years ago and I am currently in remission.

Wishing you the best of luck with your meeting next Wednesday.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Hifromthedam

I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I am new here too and also petrified. I was diagnosed 1 wk ago with extensive DCIS in left boob after biopsies and MRI of both breasts. I have been offered mastectomy with or without reconstruction. I need to have a sentinel node biopsy before the surgery to see if any lymph nodes are affected.
My head is bursting with a rollercoaster of emotions, I’m 43 with three boys.
I just wanted to reach out and I hope your meeting goes ok on Wednesday Fingers crossedFingers crossed
