  1. Just found out yesterday. Wow, I wasn’t expecting that. Feels like my bus has stopped, I feel sorry for the people around me.
  • Hi NanaQueen

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  When you feel ready why not tell us a little bit more about yourself and your diagnosis and it helps the ladies and gents on here give you any support you might need.  If you'd like to click on my name you can find out a little bit about my journey through triple negative breast cancer.

Wishing you the best of luck with whatever treatment your medical team put you on.

    Best wishes

  • Waiting for an MRI and her2 results. Just in limbo. Met with my surgeon and she’s filled me in on what may happen. I’d like to know what the time line is with the NHS

  • I think it will very much depend on your results. When I was diagnosed I expected to have surgery first then maybe treatment after. I was totally thrown when I needed chemo first as I just wanted it cut out and gone. Don't be phased if you need chemo first. Takes a while to get your head around things but you will get there. The important thing is to have someone you can talk to and who will listen to your worries and fears. I really hope your treatment goes well.

  • Thanks Mandi,

The Surgeon has explained that. Got a phone call from the hospital with an appointment for my MRI today. So that’s going to be Thursday. Then maybe sometime next week I’ll know the results of the HER2 test. But you’ll know all that.
Been researching what food to eat and when, intermittent fasting to help control insulin. And stopped drinking….

  • You're doing all the right things. I really hope it all goes well for you. I'm waiting to see the surgeon at my results appointment then I will ask when they will remove the other side as the promised they would so I have it all to go through again from a surgical point of view. I currently have a wound stroma which has been drained twice and a small hole that's taking its time to heal. It's a long roller coaster ride but we will come out the other end stronger xxx

  • I meant wound seroma

  • Hope your results appointment goes well. xx

  • Hi Daisy53, just read your message again and could take it in, instead of words on a page!
