Hi ,
Just joined today .
On my second breast cancer journey ; 15 years ago had Ductal cancer in my right breast ,6months , 2 Lumpectomies, 6 gruelling months of Chemo , 15 days of radiation and Lamotrigine for years .
Pretty much to the date 15 years on in June Mammogram discovered Lobular Cancer in my left breast .
Only a small line of cells ; had Lumpectomy in August and some cells found in margins so had to have 2nd Lumpectomy.
This time wound got infection ; antibiotics and feel very fed up now .
Trying to stay positive for family but feel like this is NEVER going to go away !
Going for Results from second op on Monday afternoon as cells found in Margins were less than 1mm I am hoping no more operations.
Been told definitely no Chemo this time as Nodes clear phew at last meeting .
I am likely to have radiation this time ?
Hello; I'm sorry to hear you're going through the mill again. It's good news that you definitely don't need chemo but I think you should assume you need radiotherapy, so you'll be prepared if you do and delighted if you don't. I only had 5 days of RT, so more do-able than 15. I hope your infection clears up soon; I'm not surprised you're fed up
