Hi everyone I've just had the good news that on the second attempt they've got all of the cancer from my left breast, but because they found cancer in the sentinel lymph node I've got to have a meeting with an oncologist to discuss whether to have chemo as there's a small risk the cancer may have spread via that 1 lymph node even though the other 9 they took out were clear. I wonder if anyone else has had this happen to them?
Regards

Hi and yes.Had the same discussion to make, one node can make so much trouble, I side stepped chemo and went straight to radio, you have a big choice to make and it will be your choice, but question your oncologist and speak to your BC nurse she will support your choice. Kind regards
Hi ShazzE
I had some cancer left in one of the sentinel lymph nodes that my surgeon took out so my oncologist put me on chemo tablets for six months to mop up any stray cancer cells that may have escaped. I also had fifteen sessions of radiotherapy.
Wishing you the best of luck with your meeting and with whatever treatment your oncologist puts you on.
Best wishes
