Hiya everyone!  I’ve read a few threads but it’s all double Dutch to me and very scary, like trying to read a new language.  I got recalled after a routine screen with Action Cancer.  The 10 day wait seemed to drag on forever but the two week wait for results was longer.  I was quite upbeat right up until they told me I’d cancer.  I’m really fortunate that it’s so small and I’m getting lumpectomy in two weeks.  I’ve had a crazy weekend of up n down.  I’m awash with shame that I’ve maybe left my two daughters this lovely legacy but also that I’m not being that brave and positive role model.  And I’m exhausted with the emotions of it all and the dread of the after pain …. Agh I guess it’s time to grow up and look at the positives, of which their are many but for today I’m going to rest and avoid Google.  Happy Monday to you all x

  • Hi Amphitrite

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  I know it's easy for me to say but you have no need to be ashamed it's a shock when you find out you have cancer.  You are doing the right thing avoiding google as the information on google about breast cancer is out of date.  Rely on sites like this one and Breast cancer now for your information.  You'll find plenty of support from the ladies and gents on here if you need it.

Wishing you the best of luck with whatever treatment your medical put you on and with your operation.

    Best wishes
