Hi,
I am a 47 year old mother to two teenage boys.
On the 10 August 2022 I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma.
On 16 September I undertook a full mastectomy on my left breast and reconstruction.
Am recovering well but wanted to reach out to anyone who is currently going through the same thing for chats, advice and rants!
On 4 October I have an appointment to discuss the prognosis which I’m understandably anxious about.

Welcome to the forum. There is an awful lot of women on here going through the same thing as you at the moment, so please don't hesitate to reach out should you have any queries that any one of them can help you with. It may be someone is a little further along their treatment than you and can offer you some more insight.
(I had lumpectomy for IDC, so not as invasive surgery as you had - great to hear you are recovering well!)
I hope your appointment on 4th goes really well.
Kindest Wishes, Lesley
