Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well and taking the best care of yourself.

Does anyone else have experience of burning sensation in their lungs/chest after 3 weeks of radiotherapy?  Just wondered if it is radiotherapy causing it or something else.

  • hi  I finished 3 weeks treatment about 10 days ago, no symptoms as you describe but do have burns on chest and back. I'd get it checked out I don't recall that being a common side effect.....very very tired tho! x

  • Hi Ducks I have just finished 2 weeks ago. My oncologist said that there was a very small chance that they could catch the top of my lung which would give me a dry cough and that they would treat it with a few weeks of high dose steroids if they did but like Hev999 I have a lot of redness of the burns and skin is very tender. Also really exhausted. Phone your bc Nurse to get some advice tomorrow. Jxxx

  • I have got the burning sensation in my chest after radiotherapy. Did you seek any advice or did it go away? Hope you are recovering well.
