Morning all. I had a full right mastectomy with implant 22/8/22 and although I am recovering well I have a sore arm and wonder has anyone any advice. It feels as if I can’t stretch the arm fully and the muscles on the inside upper and lower arm are very tight. I didn’t notice it until last week when my drains came out but also the arm was a bit numb before then so I might not have felt it.
Many thanks
Hi Boredsilly I’m no expert but possibly have cording , are you doing the exercises or is it too uncomfortable have a word with your BCN She should be able to advise and see you if necessary hope it eases soon
Thanks Northerner. I can’t feel a cord but it does feel somewhat like that could be it. I do my exercises as best I can but the pain is restricting. I’ll check with nurse as well and just keep at it. Better something than nothing. Thanks again x
Boredsilly I was lucky ..my upper arm became stiff and tight but after talking to BCN I found the hand walking up the wall stretch actually helped . Just took it inch by inch . Also massaged area when in shower/ bath .
take care
