On Monday I had a mammogram then a scan then biopsies taken I'm a code 5 which when I looked up is 95 percent cancer , im scared and awaiting a call from someone regarding a meeting with a consultant and dr and to discuss the way forward and treatment and to tell me exactly what's what ! It's the longest wait ever I just wish they would hurry up and call me even tho I no what the result will be , how long have people had to wait ?? I was told 7 to 10 days not sure I can cope that long I'm going out of my mind x
Hi Tbag so sorry to hear you are in this difficult time of uncertainty. I think everyone in this group would agree the waiting is the worst. Certainly from my perspective it got much easier once I had a plan, no matter how bad the news was. I had to wait 16 days for a scan and I found that super hard. I just managed by keeping busy, working long hours and distracting myself. I'd advise not to Google, stick to reliable websites like MacMillan. I also used some mindfulness techniques to help me sleep, the nights were the worst. I really hope you get some news soon, sending best wishes
