Hello everyone have been diagnosed with cancer in both breasts. The cancer is caused by estrogen and I have been told to stop taking HRT. Iam really struggling with the shock and fear of the diagnosis and now the symptoms of menopause I am so anxious not sleeping properly that I really can’t carry on like this. Please can anyone recommend a supplement not containing estrogen that can alleviate these symptoms

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. While I can’t recommend a supplement not containing estrogen I tha ought I’d reply to you as you haven’t had any replies yet to move you to the top of the discussion.

Hi I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Waiting for my outpatient appointment. I take HRT but unsure should I stop it or wait for consultant advice.

it might not be oestrogen positive. Understand your concerns though its a tough one

I was in exactly the same boat. I now take nothing and am experiencing all of the menopause symptoms. I don't take anything yet because I cannot tell what is chemo side effect and what is menopause. The tamoxifen is also going to bring along more effects so I am waiting to see how that impacts.
