So we have had my wife's pathology results after her masectomy. It was 8cm high grade dcis with a small microinvasion.
Lymph nodes clear and clear margins. The Consultant said they have to have an mdt meeting but is pretty confident she won't need chemo. It maybe radio therapy if anything.
We feel this is pretty good news in the scheme of things and aware that it could of been much worse considering she had a palpable lump, large area of dcis and we think it's been there for awhile.
Next step after confirmation if further treatment is needed or not will be to get reconstruction.
Just wanted to update on the situation.
Thanks
Bobbo
